The Team

Ian has worked in the golf industry for over 17 years since his graduation from university with a degree in Sports Psychology. Prior to joining BGL, he worked in Golf Operations roles at several venues around the country including Hampton Court Palace Golf Club and also spent 5 years as Sales and Marketing Manager at The Wisley, Surrey, one of Europe’s most revered private members clubs.

In 2011 Ian joined BGL as their first Manager in Training, quickly progressing on to his first General Manager position at Redbourn Golf Club by the end of that year. Following a busy and enjoyable 6 years at Redbourn, Ian jumped at the chance of a new challenge and joined the team at Aldwickbury in March 2018.

Ian is passionate about delivering great service, impeccable standards – both on and off the course while also creating an atmosphere that can be enjoyed by members and staff alike.

Outside of work Ian is a keen snowboarder and also enjoys mountain biking and hitting the cinema with his fiancé Loba.

Craig has been with Aldwickbury Park since 2015 and was promoted to Course Manager in 2017.

He has been a greenkeeper for over 15 years during which time he has worked at a number of courses in the local area and also spent 3 years at Sunningdale. In addition to this, he has also provided tournament support for a number of professional events including the 2014 PGA Championships at Wentworth, the 2016 British Masters at Woburn and the 2017 British Ladies Open at Woburn.

Outside of work Craig has two kids with his partner Emma, both of whom keep him very occupied, but when he does get time to himself, he enjoys a round of golf and plays off 10.

Holly has been at Aldwickbury for 5 years and having helped plan over 130 weddings for Aldwickbury couples she is now our teams Sales Manager.

Prior to relocating to the area Holly graduated locally at the University of Hertfordshire in Business and Events Management and went on to work in the hotel industry as a Wedding and Event coordinator. Having now experienced some of the world of golf, Holly loves being part of the community of members within our club and is always happy to say hello.

Outside of work Holly spends time visiting friends and family and enjoys holidaying to explore new places with her husband Jason.

Robin has been at Aldwickbury Park since 2005. He turned Professional in 2003 and received the Titleist Scholarship for outstanding success in the PGA Assistants’ Examinations. Robin is a very patient coach and has taken many beginners on a journey to full club membership and junior golfers on to a career in Professional Golf. As well as playing golf competitively Robin also enjoys many sports and keeping active. He has completed numerous half-marathons and the London, New York and Paris Marathons.

Liz rejoined Aldwickbury Park as Food and Beverage manager in 2020 after having worked with us previously. She works hard with the team to ensure great customer service to those visiting our lounge bar and attending functions.

Outside of work Liz has a successful career in the music industry as a DJ and spends her time off performing across the country.
